- Etania Mutoni criticized girls who expect men to fund their lifestyles.
- She said entitlement often comes from never working for one’s own money.
- Her comments triggered online discussion about modern dating and financial responsibility.
Media personality Etania Mutoni has sparked conversation after openly criticizing young women who believe a man must financially provide for them in order to have a say in their lives.

Speaking on a podcast hosted by Sabrina Agasha, the NRG Radio presenter said many girls have grown comfortable expecting men to sponsor their lifestyles, yet show little respect for the people who support them.
“I know girls who have this mentality of, ‘If a man is not providing for me, he can’t tell me anything.’ Trust me, it’s because you’re broke,” Etania said.
She argued that the attitude comes from never having worked hard for one’s own income. According to her, once a girl learns to earn and respect her own money, she naturally becomes more appreciative of any help she receives.

“The day you learn to work for your own money, Sabrina, you will respect it. Even if someone gives you 50k — a man or a friend — you will respect that 50k,” she added.
Etania said many young women easily dismiss help from both friends and partners because they do not understand the effort behind the money being offered.
“You don’t know what they went through to give you that money. You don’t know what they had to sacrifice. That’s why someone can give you 100k and you still say, ‘I’m not a joker,’” she said.
She also mocked the growing trend of girls demanding unrealistic amounts of money from men.
“That’s why you find a girl asking, ‘Do you have five million?’ Who, you?” Etania said, laughing.
Her comments have ignited debate online, with some praising her for speaking truthfully, while others argue she is being too harsh on women navigating tough economic times. Others have also praised by comparing her to fellow NRG FM presenter, Evelyn Mic who just a day ago that it’s a man’s responsibility naturally to provide for a woman.
