Ugandan dancehall female singer Kapa Cat alias Catherine Tumusiime has come out with a strong warning to young women after surviving what she describes as a life-threatening drink-spiking incident earlier this week.

The TAF Management singer said the experience shook her deeply, pushing her to speak up so others don’t go through the same.
“I was a victim of spiking,” she shared. “It was very severe and honestly life-threatening. This post is all about awareness.”
She urged women to stay vigilant, especially when out at nightclubs, bars, or events.
“Gurl, never leave your drink unattended,” she cautioned. “Even a few seconds is enough for someone to tamper with it.”
Tumusiime also encouraged the use of safety tools that many young women may not be aware of.
“Use drink covers, test strips, or those smart coasters. They’re small but they can save you,” she said.

Another key point she stressed was staying alert to the people around you.
“Watch your surroundings and the company you carry,” she warned. “Don’t accept drinks from strangers and look out for your friends.”
Her message has since sparked conversations online, with many praising her for speaking out and helping raise awareness on a growing danger faced by women across nightlife spaces.
