Ykee Benda’s kwanjula set for September 13th in Naalya

Mpaka Records CEO Ykee Benda is set to be officially introduced by his partner Emily in a traditional kwanjula ceremony scheduled for September 13, 2025, in Naalya, a suburb of Kampala.

According to a close source, preparations are already underway for what is expected to be a high-profile event, attended by both family and close friends.

Ykee Benda, real name Wycliffe Tugume, and Emily have been dating for some time, following the end of his previous relationship with Julie Batenga, the mother of his son, Dante Quain.

Although Benda and Julie held an introductory ceremony (kukyala), the couple eventually separated around 2021.

Since going public with his new relationship, Benda has shared several moments with Emily on social media, photos of dates, getaways, and family time.

The singer has made no secret of his affection for Emily, and sources suggest that he is eager to make the union official. Emily is currently pursuing her bachelor’s in Law.
