• Pastor Aloysious Bujjingo has called on his congregation to help cover Salt TV’s outstanding debts after the station was removed from Free to Air broadcasting.
  • The pastor has faced previous scrutiny over fundraising campaigns for his church’s development projects.

Well-known city pastor Aloysius Bujjingo has requested his congregation to help him restore the Church’s TV station, Salt TV, to the Free to Air service. Currently, the TV station is off the air due to a massive debt that he claims he cannot cover on his own.

To reassure his followers, he mentioned that Salt TV is not the only station that was removed; other channels faced the same fate but managed to raise funds and get reinstated.

Therefore, it is up to him and his followers to gather the necessary funds to pay and return to service. The lead Pastor of House of Prayer International Ministries emphasized that this effort should come from those willing to support the Ministry of Christ.

For those who believe he is attempting to exploit them, Bujjingo clarified that they are not obligated to contribute. He even set a deadline of two days for raising the required funds.

The contentious pastor stated that this is a call to those who wish to see the gospel reach those in need. He also suggested that before accusing him of trying to exploit his followers, they should investigate the issue themselves.

“I have come here today to explain why Salt TV is no longer available on the Free to Air service. We were among the numerous channels that were removed, but others successfully raised the funds needed to return. For me, the amount required is too much to gather alone, which is why I have brought it to the church. Help me raise this money so we can return and spread the Gospel to those who are lost. This initiative should only involve those willing to assist the gospel. So before you accuse me of soliciting money, please first look into the funds we are required to pay,” stated Bujjingo.

The Pastor has faced accusations on multiple occasions, similar to many other city pastors, of exploiting their congregants for their hard-earned income. These pastors are often accused of using scripture in a manipulative fashion against their followers.

It is important to note that Bujjingo has been soliciting funds from his congregation for nearly a decade to build the renowned Pentagon Church.

The amount collected, totaling billions of shillings, has yet to show any accountability or visible results for the intended purpose.
