• Veteran singer Halima Namakula has shut down rumors of conflict between Eddy Kenzo and Dr. Hamza Ssebunya—her raised daughter Rema Namakula’s former and current partners.
  • At her recent concert, Kenzo and Hamza shared the stage and embraced, prompting cheers from fans. Halima emphasized there’s no bad blood between the men, who often interact respectfully.

Renowned musician Halima Namakula has expressed that she has no animosity towards her two sons-in-law, Eddy Kenzo and Dr. Hamza Ssebunya, whom she considers to be good men. It’s important to note that Halima is the adoptive mother of singer Rema Namakula.

Rema was previously in a relationship with Eddy Kenzo for nearly seven years, and together they have a daughter named Aamal Musuuza. After parting ways with Kenzo, Rema married Hamza in 2019, and the couple now has two children.

On several occasions, Hamza and Kenzo have shown support and respect for one another. This was evident during Halima’s recent concert at Kampala Serena Hotel, where she called Kenzo on stage, and he, in turn, invited Hamza, leading to an embrace between the two.

The audience erupted in cheers for Rema, who was present in the crowd. Halima remarked that she originally invited the Big Talent boss, who then chose to invite his colleague. The Ekimbewo singer emphasized that there is no animosity between the two men.

Moreover, their family often jokes about this situation, and it is no longer a concern for them. It is largely the public that makes a fuss over it.

Halima mentioned that Rema has become accustomed to this occurrence. She also expressed her gratitude for the positive influence both men have had in her daughter’s life.

Additionally, she stated that the two sides are now interconnected for life due to the special bond of Aamal Musuuza. Consequently, they cannot harbor ill will indefinitely as they will inevitably encounter each other at events like birthdays.
