• Actor Arnold Mubangizi, best known for portraying President Yoweri Museveni in the biopic 27 Guns, has received Shs20 million from the Chief of Defence Forces, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, after publicly sharing his financial struggles and personal hardships.
  • Delivered by the General’s aide, the donation comes as a lifeline for Mubangizi, who faced rejection, unemployment, and family health challenges following his acting role and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Arnold Mubangizi, the actor who recently revealed the tough journey he has faced after portraying President Museveni in the biopic film, 27 Guns, has finally received assistance from the CDF, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba. This support was delivered by the General’s personal assistant.

In a post on X, film director Loukman Ali expressed gratitude towards the General, confirming that Mubangizi had indeed received the help. A WhatsApp screenshot shared by Loukman showed Mubangizi thanking him for his efforts in securing this assistance. The struggling actor received 20 million shillings from the General.

“The Chief of Defence Forces, Gen @mkainerugaba
, has fulfilled his promise to support movie actor Arnold Mubangizi, who was recently featured in the media crying for help over wide-ranging troubles, including financial difficulties. The CDF donated Shs20 million to him which was delivered by his military assistant, Col Christopher Muwumba at the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs.”

It’s important to note that the 35-year-old left many people stunned and sympathetic after revealing how his life took a downturn immediately after acting in this film. He received only 10 million for his role, and his situation worsened after the COVID-19 pandemic struck.

He sought help from the President but faced repeated obstacles. Moreover, he attempted to find regular employment but was met with rejection and discrimination once his true identity was revealed.

With a mother who is facing health issues, Mubangizi appealed for assistance in the news, and fortunately for him, his plea was heard by the General, who has come to his aid.
