Television presenter and actress Stella Nante has recalled her early days in the entertainment industry, particularly her role as a video vixen in Hellena, a collaboration between Radio and Weasel featuring David Lutalo.
Nante revealed that she was introduced to the opportunity by her brother, veteran artist Michael Ross, at a time when she had little knowledge of how the music industry operated.
She disclosed that she was still in high school when she featured in the video.
At that time, I was still a student in high school. They approached my brother Michael Ross, who then sought permission from our father. He told them that I should be paid UGX 500,000, and that’s exactly what I received.
Nante added that while she is grateful for the experience, she has since moved beyond that phase of her career.
I can’t be a video vixen anymore. I am glad I had that opportunity, but now I am on another level. My focus is on acting, which is what I am passionate about.
In addition to Helena, Nante also appeared as a video vixen in Geosteady’s Viola and Lilian Mbabazi’s Real Love.
The media personality also talked about her brother Michael Ross’ personal life, revealing that he is in a serious relationship and very happy, although he is not yet officially married.
