- Ugandan politician Mubarak Munyagwa has weighed in on Jose Chameleone’s ongoing divorce battle with his wife Daniella.
- Speaking on Kasuku’s podcast, Munyagwa advised the legendary singer to avoid prolonging the case and instead give Daniella everything she is demanding, including custody of their five children, financial support, and their Seguku home.
Politician Mubarak Munyagwa has shared some advice for veteran musician Dr. Jose Chameleone during his current legal issues with his wife. This week, it became known that Daniella is filing for divorce from Chameleone after 17 years of being together.

Representatives from both parties attended court this week but were unable to reach an agreement as Daniella’s requests were considered excessive.
Reliable sources indicate that the mother of five is pursuing full custody of their children, financial support from the singer, as well as their shared home in Sseguku. In summary, she is looking for 60% of Chameleone’s assets.
While many have urged Chameleone to reject these conditions, Munyagwa has a different perspective. The former Kawempe South MP, speaking on Kasuku’s podcast, advised the singer to avoid prolonging this conflict.

He also emphasised that Chameleone should not harbor resentment towards his children since he currently has no access to them; they might view him negatively. Thus, his legal team should facilitate his acceptance of all the conditions proposed by Daniella and move forward.
What I would advise Chameleone is to refrain from feeling angry with his children. They won’t grasp the situation as he lacks access to them, so it’s best for him to sign the documents and give Daniella what she asked for. In fact, he should do this in the next court session. Just relinquish the house, even if she ends up living there with her new partner—let it go. He should also continue providing her with funds to care for the children while the case is being resolved.
Munyagwa believes that if Chameleone takes this route, God will bless him with greater things in the future.
Nonetheless, many have labeled this advice as unreasonable, insisting that Chameleone deserves to negotiate for more equitable terms, whereas Munyagwa claims these voices are misguiding the singer.
