• Rwandan gospel singer and TikToker Gogo died in Uganda on September 3, 2025, after a sudden illness.
  • She rose to fame through viral TikTok videos and became a celebrated figure in East African gospel music.

The East African gospel fraternity as well as the internet community especially TikTok is mourning the death of Musabyimana Gloriose, affectionately known as Gogo Gloriose. She passed away in Uganda on the night of September 3, 2025 according to familiar sources.

Reports suggest that the celebrated Rwandan singer, famed for her unique voice and inspiring presence, died shortly after being admitted to Kyengera Doctors Center. This followed a short sudden illness.

As per close associates, Gogo had traveled to Uganda for a series of gospel engagements. She attended a crusade in Mbarara between August 29 and 31 before heading to Kampala for promotional work.

But soon after arriving in Kampala, she fell ill and despite being rushed to hospital, her condition worsened hence leading to her untimely death.

It should be noted that Gogo was born with a rare genetic condition which made her appearance distinct. She however defied the odds and used her gift of music to rise above prejudice and insults. Her humility, resilience, and strong faith endeared her to many.

Throughout the years, she became an internet sensation across Rwanda and slowly spread across East Africa and the world at large with her gospel performances and uplifting messages spreading widely on social media platforms.

Gogo became famous after her videos spread out n TikTok where she was singing in an interview. She quickly shot through the Internet and became an all time meme. She will undoubtedly be remembered for as long as the Internet lives.
