Ex NBS TV news anchor, Zambaali Bulasio Mukasa bas called upon singer Ibrahim Mayanja aka Big Eye to rally behind him so that they can work for the good of their party, the National Unity Platform. This comes after the party chose Zambaali as the parliamentary candidate for Nansana Municipality in a race of 4 candidates who included Big Eye.

Zambaali said that he would be so glad if the singer supported him in the campaigns that will begin on 10th November. The popular journalist added that he’s now looking for the singer so that they can partner.

In a consolation tone for the Indicator singer, Zambaali said that the party chose him because he’s got some things that he had than his competitors but that doesn’t mean that they don’t have areas they are better than him at.

Meanwhile, Big Eye through us Facebook page didn’t seem bitter with NUP for the choice we made. Hey congratulated the winner and then rallied his supporters to give Zambaali Bulasio Mukasa the support needed to win the general election.

Zambaali also revealed how he was on tension just like other candidates during the vetting process. He said that this stemmed from the fact that some of his candidates for the councillor positions didn’t make it through the sieve.

Furthermore, he said that NUP delayed releasing the final shortlist of candidates so as to minimize the amount of candidates who would decide to run on the independent ticket and hamper the party’s objectives.

The former Barometer Show presenter also said that his popularity amongst voters stemmed from the fact that his media job gave him the platform to talk about the real issues affecting different communities. Therefore people always felt that he would do a great job once he got into elective politics.
