• David Lutalo says he doesn’t hold concerts to make money but to promote his music and brand.
  • The singer reveals concerts are expensive and rarely bring profit due to high investment costs.
  • Lutalo joins artists like Fik Fameica and Mun G who’ve also admitted to earning little from their shows.

Musician David Lutalo has revealed the sole reason he stages concerts. The singer revealed how he has been one of the most consistent singers that hold concerts regularly.

Lutalo said that artists especially him barely earn any profits from concerts. This is because they invest a lot in these concerts and the gains are always minimal.

According to the Eat Zote singer, he’s always banking on the promoter to do a good job in marketing him during that period leading up to the concert.

The Da Hares boss revealed that in fact he gets angry with the promoter of they don’t advertise him to the last bit. With this promotion he gets to get other gigs and deals from which he can earn an extra income.

“I think I’m one of the artists who has regularly held concerts. However, I organize these concerts not for profit because there’s barely any but for promotion. If a promoter doesn’t advertise me properly, we can get issues. When a promoter pays you, their job is done but once he gives me that money, o reinvest it back and hardly get any. But the headlines I get in that period help me to get extra gigs and deals,”said Lutalo.

The singer is not the first to claim how they don’t organize concerts of financial gains. Artists like Mun G, Fik Fameica who recently all held successful concerts claimed that they didn’t get any gains from their shows.
