NRG Radio Uganda, 106.5 FM — widely recognized as the #1 Name in Music — has officially unveiled celebrated media personality Mr. Henrie (Arinaitwe Henry) as the newest addition to its dynamic on-air team.

Known for his authenticity, deep connection with audiences, and influential voice in Uganda’s entertainment industry, Mr. Henrie’s move marks a major milestone in NRG Radio’s mission to shape youth culture and redefine modern African entertainment.

Speaking about his new chapter, Mr. Henrie said his decision was driven by the desire for growth and alignment with a forward-thinking brand.

“This for me is about growth. I’ve reached a point where I needed a space that matches my future ambitions, a brand that challenges me to think bigger and connect wider. NRG Radio provides that platform. It’s bold, it’s fresh, and it aligns perfectly with the direction I’m growing into,” said Mr. Henrie.

NRG Radio’s Strategy Lead, Julius Kyazze, noted that Henrie’s addition reflects the station’s broader vision to reshape the African entertainment landscape and celebrate the continent’s growing global influence.

“We’re witnessing an African takeover — from sound to storytelling, Africa is setting the global pace, and NRG is at the heart of that movement,” Kyazze said.

“What young people are creating, the world is now consuming. NRG’s voice, energy, and platforms are defining what modern African entertainment, fashion, and lifestyle look like. Bringing in talent like Mr. Henrie strengthens our mission to drive culture forward, not just for Uganda, but for a new Africa that’s loud, confident, and globally influential.”

As part of its strategic expansion, NRG Radio has also announced the addition of Timothy Jjumba Omar, popularly known as Timo Pon D’Chat, one of Uganda’s most respected audio producers and radio imaging experts.

Timo expressed excitement about joining NRG, promising to redefine the sound of radio in Uganda.

“We’re about to change the sound of radio. It’s time for a new challenge, one I’ve always dreamt of. Joining a brand with a global outlook like NRG is truly exciting. With over 13 years of experience in radio production, imaging, and mentorship, I’m ready to bring a new sound, new energy, and real magic to the airwaves,” he said.

Kyazze emphasized that these strategic additions are part of NRG’s long-term commitment to investing in talent that can move African culture forward.

“Henrie brings voice, influence, and depth; Timo brings creativity and innovation. Together, they represent the next generation of African media talent,” he added.
