• Chagga says Weasel and Mowzey Radio were only business partners, not personal friends.
  • Radio’s real friends were outside the entertainment scene, according to Chagga.
  • The revelations revive old rumors about Goodlyfe’s near-split before Radio’s death.

Former Goodlyfe manager and veteran singer Chagga has revealed that Weasel Manizo was never the late Mowzey Radio’s genuine friend. In an exclusive interview, Chagga claimed that the duo’s relationship was purely professional and that they were only bound by music.

According to the Piga Makofi singer, Radio and Weasel were close only at the beginning of their career because they shared similar struggles at the time. As their fame grew, their bond remained business-oriented rather than personal.

Chagga added that Radio’s real friends were people outside the limelight. He said that while the pair would casually talk at their Neverland home in Makindye, they never shared a deep connection. He also noted that their first manager, Jeff, wasn’t close to Radio either.

“Weasel was never Radio’s friend on a personal basis. They were just business partners. Mowzey’s friends were very different. In fact, I’m the one who connected him to one of his closest friends—they found out they had both studied at Butiki College. Weasel and Radio would only talk casually at Neverland, just like neighbors,” said Chagga.

Before Mowzey Radio’s death, there were rumors that Goodlyfe was on the verge of disbanding. Reports suggested that Radio had started pursuing solo projects and launched his Angel Music label in a bid to separate from Weasel.

Chagga has in the past also alleged that Weasel used to beat up Radio whenever they argued. Their fallout extended beyond Radio’s death, as Weasel was once seen kicking Chagga out of Neverland for allegedly assaulting his wife Sandra Teta, though the two later reconciled.
