• Eddy Kenzo says powerful people are secretly working against him, not just visible rivals.
  • He attributes opposition to jealousy over his successful projects that others failed to achieve.
  • Kenzo emphasizes that his success is divinely blessed, making his journey unique and powerful.

Musician Eddy Kenzo has revealed the intense challenges he faces behind the scenes. During a press conference with the media, the Big Talent CEO said that while the public may see only a few individuals opposing him, many powerful people are secretly working against him.

Kenzo explained that the reasons for this opposition are straightforward. Primarily, it stems from his success in achieving what others failed to accomplish. He pointed out that some of the projects he took on were attempted by others without success—but when he assumed responsibility, results began to show. This, he said, has fueled jealousy among his peers.

The Bilala singer also noted that many struggle to accept his success. “Most of these artists saw me start singing even without shoes,” Kenzo said. “They were already established with many admirers, but now I have surpassed them, which makes it difficult for them to accept.”

Additionally, Kenzo attributes his achievements to divine favor. He stated that God doesn’t bless every talented person but chooses specific individuals. “I am blessed, and this is why my story is so powerful—one that many have failed to embrace,” he said.

It is worth noting that the BET award winner has previously claimed that influential figures in both government and the music industry are working against him.

A few weeks ago, he even considered resigning as president of the Uganda National Music Foundation (UNMF), a decision he later rescinded.
