• Baby Gloria describes Kampala Crème as “chaotic, ghetto, and full of lessons.”

  • Gloria says the experience taught her to pray and think before signing onto projects, no matter how exciting they seem.

Gospel singer and TV personality Baby Gloria has opened up about her short-lived experience on the reality TV series Kampala Crème, describing it as both “chaotic and fun, but full of lessons.”

Speaking candidly about her fallout with the show, Gloria admitted that the whole experience turned out very differently from what she expected.

“People were saying it was so ghetto — and honestly, even the way we were reacting and responding was so ghetto about it,” she said with a laugh. “But in that moment, we felt like, oh my goodness, people judge things they don’t even understand. They don’t know what was cut out, what wasn’t shown. So we just decided to take it until the end.”

Despite the drama, Gloria says the show taught her valuable lessons about discernment and self-awareness.

“It taught me that not everything is for me,” she explained. “I might be very ambitious and excited about opportunities, but it’s better to discern before you sign papers or take the money than to realize later that you don’t belong there.”

The singer, who grew up in the limelight as the daughter of gospel artist Betty Nakibuka, revealed that even before joining Kampala Crème, several people close to her had warned her to think twice — including her now-husband.

“He was my boyfriend then, and he kept asking, ‘Gogo, are you sure about this thing?’ But I told him, ‘Yeah, I can do this. I can give them good TV — it doesn’t have to be serious.’ I thought it would be fun, but it turned into so many different things,” she said.

Gloria has since accused the show of being “too scripted and fake,” even alleging that at one point, she was told to cry for the cameras.

Kampala Crème airs on Pearl Magic and features popular socialites such as Mami Deb, Zahara Toto, and Prima Kardashi. The show has gained attention for its glitz, drama, and occasional celebrity guest appearances — but Gloria’s experience paints a different picture of what happens behind the scenes.

Despite the fallout, Baby Gloria says she has no regrets — only lessons.

“It was a ride — chaotic, yes — but I learned so much about myself,” she concluded. “Now I know to pray and think before jumping into something just because it looks exciting.”
