• Alien Skin says the Salaama Road chaos started after his crew member allegedly punched a local.
  • The singer insists he was unfairly targeted as hostility and gunfire escalated.
  • He accuses critics of branding him chaotic while they themselves fuel conflict.

Controversial musician Patrick Mulwana, popularly known as Alien Skin, has spoken out about the fracas that unfolded recently along Salaama Road, where he was captured on video fleeing as locals hurled stones at his car.

The viral clip showed the Sitya Danger Singer and members of his team speeding off as residents accused them of sparking chaos. Alien Skin has now given his side of the story, revealing what he says really happened.

According to the singer, he had a planned trip to Arua that same week and decided to take his car for a road test, choosing to drive along Salaama Road. However, upon reaching one end, he found it closed due to ongoing maintenance works.

When he tried to return through the route he had used earlier, he found that end also blocked. With no immediate exit, the singer says he opted to relax and interact with some of the locals in the area. But he soon sensed that tempers were rising.

When he asked what was going on, he was informed that one of his crew members had allegedly punched a resident, who was then rushed to hospital. That, he says, is what triggered the confrontation.

Alien Skin maintains that he was not present when the incident happened, and therefore did not expect hostility to be directed at him. But soon, tensions escalated and gunshots were reportedly fired, forcing him to flee with his team for safety.

“People call me chaotic, yet the ones preaching peace are the ones always causing trouble,” Alienskin said. “Uganda has painted me as unruly, but I’ve never chased anyone from passing through my area. Even NUP candidates canvass freely in Kizungu.”

The singer added that some individuals have gone as far as threatening him whenever he tries to pass through certain villages, and that many now link him to the fate of other controversial musicians who have died in the past.

He wondered why people who claim to be peaceful are the ones constantly spreading alarming updates about his life, noting that “even I don’t know what will happen to me tomorrow.”

This is not the first time Alien Skin has been entangled in public conflict. A few weeks ago, he was also filmed being chased by residents in Busoga, who accused him of being a dangerous individual.
