NRG Radio has officially unveiled the launch of the inaugural NRG Halftime Show, set to debut at this year’s Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards (ASFAs) Honorary Gala on 19th December 2025 at the Kampala Serena Hotel.

The announcement was made during a press briefing held at Krug, Bugolobi, marking a major evolution in the ASFAs format. For the first time in the history of fashion awards in Africa, the event will feature a dedicated halftime performance moment — a fresh entertainment concept designed to elevate the overall show experience.

Speaking at the event, NRG Radio’s Head of Brand, Barbra Lynda, highlighted why the station is championing this groundbreaking partnership.

“NRG is proud to be part of this new chapter of the ASFAs. Fashion, music and youth culture have always moved together, and the halftime show gives us a chance to bring that connection to life in a way Africa hasn’t seen before. Vinka is headlining the first show, and the work going into preparing her to make history speaks for itself. She was chosen because her journey, style, and cultural impact perfectly represent what this moment stands for.”

Vinka, who is currently upcountry on a work assignment, shared her excitement through a recorded message:

“I’m bringing the fire to the ASFAs Honorary Gala this December 19th at the Serena Hotel. I’m headlining the NRG Halftime Show and trust me… this one is going to shake the room. If you think you’ve seen fashion and music come together before, you haven’t seen anything yet. Get your ticket because the stage is set, the lights are ready and the red carpet is waiting. Pick that outfit early and let’s make history.”

Beyond the Halftime Show, the ASFAs confirmed the following performers for the night:

• Elijah Kitaka

• Kevin Kade (Rwanda)

• Tyra Chantey (Sweden)

• Rickman

• Karole Kasita

• Warafiki

• Dance By Valentino

• DJ Vee

• DJ Harold

Representing Ciroc, Reserve Brand Ambassador Melanie Abwooli reaffirmed the brand’s long-standing partnership with the ASFAs and officially reappointed Brian Ahumuza as Ciroc Ambassador.

“Ciroc celebrates luxury, creativity and bold expression—values that align seamlessly with the ASFAs. Fashion and luxury walk hand in hand, which makes Ciroc the perfect fit for this event.”

ASFAs Founder Brian Ahumuza (Abryanz) expressed enthusiasm about the gala’s evolution, emphasizing the significance of the new Halftime Show, the elevated guest journey, and the return of Africa’s biggest red carpet. He noted that the Honorary Gala remains highly exclusive, with limited tickets available via quicket.co.ug.

Shafik Nekambuza, speaking on behalf of Play It Loud, confirmed that the streaming platform will officially launch on 10th December 2025, giving global viewers access to livestream the ASFAs Honorary Gala.

The 2025 Honorary Gala promises one of the most exclusive and elevated ASFA experiences to date.

Hosted in an intimate, high-value setting at the Kampala Serena Hotel, the event will accommodate a select audience, with limited public tickets priced at UGX 250,000 (Ordinary) and UGX 8,000,000 (VVIP table of ten) — all available via quicket.co.ug.
