The State Minister for Youth and Children, Hon Balaam Barugahara, has encouraged individuals who did not win in the NRM’s CEC elections held at Kololo Independence Grounds to accept their loss and redirect their efforts towards other pursuits. Balaam even took the time to suggest several ideas where they can invest their energy.

According to the event organizer, these individuals should apply for the 1 million shillings available from the Parish Development Model (PDM). With this funding, they could initiate various enterprises such as poultry farming and piggery, allowing them to earn an income. The Minister emphasized that no position is designated for a single individual.
“I want to encourage those who didn’t win to accept their loss and return to their usual lives. They should understand that no position was designed for just one person. They can obtain that 1 million shillings from PDM and embark on projects like piggery or poultry farming,” Balaam remarked.
Among those who faced defeat is the renowned Rebecca Kadaga, who has been part of the NRM party since its formation in 1989. Hon Kadaga lost to the current Speaker, Hon Anita Among, by a significant margin in what was a contentious election marked by claims of voter bribery and favoritism.
