- Bebe Cool has revealed that he moved his sons, Caysan and Dean, from elite Kabojja Junior to ordinary schools in Masaka.
- The singer explained that despite his wealth, he wants his children to experience humility, resilience, and survival skills—lessons he believes cannot be learned in affluent urban schools.
Singer Bebe Cool has surprised many after disclosing the schools his two sons, Caysan Ssali and Dean Ozil Ssali currently attend. The Gagamel chief is certainly among the wealthiest musicians in the nation and has the means to educate his children in prestigious institutions anywhere around the world.

However, Bebe Cool stated that he took his sons out of one of Uganda’s top educational institutions, Kabojja Junior, and enrolled them in much simpler schools in Masaka.
According to the Love You Everyday singer, he made this choice for his two sons, aged 13 and 9, so they could experience life in a more humble way.
He reflected on how his mother, Ms. Samalie, never sent him to upscale urban schools but instead to local village schools, which had a significant impact on who he is today.

Thus, he believed that raising his children in the affluent urban neighborhoods would not equip them with essential life skills needed for survival if he were to be absent. The singer mentioned that one of his sons is enrolled at Kimanya Secondary School, while the other attends a smaller, less prominent school.
“Did you know my sons are American because they were born there? They have never returned since their birth but had been studying at Kabojja Junior. Nonetheless, I chose to enroll them in a more modest school in Masaka. One is 13, and the other is 9. I placed one in Kimanya School and the other in a small school,” he explained.
“I realized that my mother Mukyala Samalie didn’t send me to luxurious schools. I started my education at Makonzi when I was quite young, and that experience molded me into the person I am today. So, I thought, why not give my children the chance to learn real life skills, to understand how to hustle and survive when a benefactor is not around? You see, in the gated communities we inhabit, these children have no idea what it means to work hard, to eat simple foods like potatoes or matooke, so I want them to acquire practical life skills,” he stated.
Bebe Cool’s announcement has left many people astonished, especially those who perceive him as a controversial and somewhat arrogant figure. Many have since commended his choice, noting that he is steering his sons toward the right track in life—recognizing that success is earned rather than given freely.
