• Solomon Kampala, the 20-year-old son of Ugandan musician-turned-politician Bobi Wine, has announced his engagement to American girlfriend Helen Jacquez.
  • The couple, who have kept their relationship mostly private, revealed the news through Instagram, showing off Helen’s stunning engagement ring.

Solomon Kampala, the eldest son of musician-turned-politician Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, known as Bobi Wine, has surprised the online community after proposing to his American girlfriend, Helen Jacquez. Based on images shared on the young man’s Instagram stories, Jacquez accepted his proposal, and they appear to be ready to embark on their life together.

Showing off a stunning ring on her finger and enjoying drinks to celebrate this milestone, the couple looked quite affectionate. It’s worth mentioning that they have been dating for a while, although they have maintained a low profile regarding their relationship in the public eye.

Just a few days ago, many Ugandans and social media users became aware of their relationship when Jacquez posted a birthday message for him on his 20th birthday, wishing him well and expressing hopes for many more years together. It certainly seems they are poised to spend their lives together after this significant event.

Solomon moved to the United States a few years ago to advance his education and sports career, yet he has kept a relatively low profile despite being one of Uganda’s most prominent musicians and politicians. While he celebrated his 20th birthday, his parents were also in the US, but it remains unclear whether they were aware of this major step he has taken beforehand.

This announcement has elicited a variety of responses from the public, with many applauding him for making such an important life decision. However, some have suggested that this may be happening too quickly since he is still quite young and has much of the world left to explore.

Regardless, we extend our congratulations to the young man and wish him all the best for the future. More information regarding the formalization of this union will be shared in due course.
