• Burora Herbert Anderson, NRM’s flagbearer for Nakawa East, has declared that only President Museveni and Bobi Wine are capable of defeating him in the upcoming general elections. 
  • Praising Bobi Wine’s political influence while dismissing other contenders, Burora emphasized his dominance in the constituency and ruled out comparisons between the NUP leader and Museveni. 

The former RCC of Rubaga Division, Burora Herbert Anderson, has stated that only Bobi Wine and President Museveni are capable of defeating him in the upcoming elections for the Nakawa East Constituency. Burora will represent NRM in the general elections after securing the party’s nomination during the NRM primaries.

Expressing great confidence, Burora asserted that no one can challenge him except for the two presidential candidates since he enjoys considerable popularity and influence in the region.

The former youth opposition leader also praised NUP president Bobi Wine, acknowledging that someone who received over 3 million votes holds a significant position.

Moreover, Burora remarked that despite some individuals attempting to dismiss or minimize Bobi Wine’s impact, they would be deceiving themselves. He further noted that there’s no basis for comparing himself to the former Kyadondo East MP.

However, Burora emphasized that the real issue lies with those who liken the Kyarenga singer to President Museveni, as the two differ greatly in their political strengths.

“At this moment, only Bobi Wine and President Museveni pose a threat to me in the Nakawa East elections. Even Bobi Wine would need to work hard, but I believe he’s a formidable candidate. A person who achieves over 3 million votes is certainly not insignificant. The only challenge that undermines him is the comparisons to President Museveni, who is in a completely different category,” Burora stated.

The MP candidate mentioned that he harbors no ill feelings towards Bobi Wine and actually admires him, particularly as a musician, as he often enjoys playing and mimicking his songs.

Burora will compete against NUP’s deputy spokesperson, Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro.
