A renewed spirit of patriotism and ideological clarity is sweeping across Uganda’s youngest voting bloc as Gen Z particularly in Busia District firmly distances itself from the chaotic and ideologically confused influence spilling over from some Kenyan Gen Z movements.

During President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s recent campaign trail stop in Busia, hundreds of vibrant and highly coordinated young people under the umbrella of Gen Z for Gen 7, headed by National Coordinator Kyarisiima Israel, turned up in full force to demonstrate their loyalty, ideological discipline, and commitment to Uganda’s long-term stability and progress.

From banners to skits, chants to digital content creation, the atmosphere reflected a generation that understands where Uganda has come from, what it has achieved, and where it intends to go.

Busia Gen Z Declare: “We Are Ready for the Qualitative Leap”

The Gen Z for Gen 7 leadership in Busia affirmed that they are fully aligned with the President’s call for a qualitative leap the next phase of socio-economic transformation that focuses on industrialisation, innovation, science, technology, value addition, and disciplined governance.
“Our generation is not confused. We know what Uganda needs. We are ready for the qualitative leap and we stand firmly behind the leadership that guarantees it,” said one of the Busia Gen Z coordinators.

They emphasised that no meaningful development can happen without peace and ideological stability values NRM has prioritised for decades.

  4. Rejecting Foreign Agendas and Imported Chaos
Busia Gen Z strongly criticised attempts by ideologically disoriented Kenyan Gen Z activists to inject confusion, misinformation, and anti-state sentiment into Uganda.
“We are not going to be used by external forces. Uganda’s Gen Z is wise, strategic, and rooted in facts not hype,” another youth leader remarked.
They insisted on defending their country from foreign narratives designed to undermine peace and stability.
