- Cindy Sanyu, popularly known as Cindy, has revealed why she turned down Crysto Panda’s request to feature on Kyoyina Omanya, a song that later became a hit with Sheebah.
- The Boom Party singer says her collaborations depend on talent, professionalism, and project value—not personal issues.
Dancehall artist Cindy Sanyu has disclosed the reasons behind her frequent rejections of collaboration requests from various musicians. The Boom Party singer has gained a reputation as one of the most ‘arrogant’ artists in the nation, largely due to her refusal to collaborate with numerous musicians.

One prominent example is Crysto Panda, who sought her participation in his song Kyoyina Omanya. She chose not to accept the invitation, leading Panda to collaborate with Sheebah instead, resulting in a major hit.
In discussing her upcoming collaboration with western Uganda artist Omega 256, Cindy stated that talent is her primary consideration when deciding to work with another musician.
She then evaluates the project’s value and financial aspects. If these criteria are met, she is open to collaborating on the song.

Regarding Omega, the former Blu 3 member noted that she fulfilled all her requirements, dismissing the claims of her being ‘arrogant’ as many have alleged.
“I often turn down collaboration offers from artists who lack talent or when the project isn’t financially sound,” Cindy explained. “It’s never about personal feelings — I prioritize maintaining my brand’s strength and working with those who can deliver. When I heard Omega’s music, I was impressed. She possesses talent, she is professional, and her energy is fantastic. That’s why I decided to collaborate with her,” Cindy expressed.
On the flip side, Omega is thrilled to be working with the King Herself. She described her experience with Cindy in the studio as very enlightening and full of good vibes. Omega also did not perceive the arrogance that many attribute to the UMA president.
She mentioned that Cindy reached out to her after the latter listened to her music and appreciated it.
