The divorce battle between Ugandan music icon Jose Chameleone and his estranged wife Daniella Atim has intensified. This is after reports that Daniella is now seeking 60% of the singer’s assets in court.

According to a petition, filed before the Family Division of the High Court in Kampala through Wamimbi Advocates and Solicitors, Daniella requests the dissolution of their 18-year marriage, custody of their five children, ownership of the family home in Sseguku, Wakiso District, child maintenance, alimony as well as Chameleone covering the legal costs.
It should be noted that the couple got married 2008 and have five children together. These are Abba (19), Alfa (16), Alba (13), Amma (11), and Xara (6). Daniella who currently lives in the United States with all the 5 kids previously cited domestic violence and emotional abuse for ending the marriage in 2023.
She also further obtained a restraining order to prevent Chameleone from entering her US residence.

“I am focused on reclaiming my freedom and mental health while building a business here in the US,” Atim said in previous statements.which usually relays on her Instagram page.
On the other hand, Chameleone however maintains that he never abandoned his family. He attributes the breakdown and tensions to his wife’s 2018 relocation to the US.
He also insists he has provided for the family, while claiming that Daniella has turned some children against him and publicized private disputes on social media, causing him distress.
Additionally, the Leone Island boss opposes alimony, arguing Atim is gainfully employed. The Valu Valu singer also requests joint custody of their children. It seems Chameleone is also not ready to cease his Seguku property to his wife. He wants if to be left for their children’s use when in Uganda.
The high-profile couple appeared for mediation on Monday this week before acting Principal Judge Jane Okuo Kajuga although Daniella was represented by her lawyer.
However, no resolution was reached leaving the next steps in the hands of the court.
