• Dokta Brain hails Gloria Bugie as one of Uganda’s most talented female singers.
  • He compares her to Jada Kingdom and Moliy, praising her versatile voice.
  • Despite criticism, Gloria remains humble and continues to dominate Uganda’s music charts.

Ugandan singer and songwriter Dokta Brain has come out to applaud songbird Gloria Busingye, popularly known as Gloria Bugie, describing her as one of the most talented female singers in Uganda today.

It should be noted that Gloria Bugie burst onto the music scene just about two years ago but has already made her mark as one of the most promising and trending artists. She has released several hit songs such as Panama, Te Quiero, among others, showcasing her versatility across genres.

According to Dokta Brain, Gloria Bugie’s voice can adapt to any music style, drawing comparisons to Ghanaian singer Moliy and Jamaican dancehall star Jada Kingdom. He even likened her to fellow Ugandan artist Sencere, with whom he once collaborated alongside John Black during his duo days.

Additionally, Dokta Brain went on to express concern that many artists under management are often limited to producing music that targets the local audience. He believes that artists like Gloria Bugie have the potential to create sounds that appeal globally if given full creative freedom.

He also praised Gloria’s humility and discipline, pointing out that she has remained grounded despite her success — something that many artists lose once they become famous.

Although some critics have questioned her talent and claimed she relies on her looks, the Sijja singer dismissed these rumors, saying that her success is built on skill and vocal uniqueness. “Many artists have the looks, but very few have a voice like hers,” he emphasized.

With her consistent hits, sense of style, and strong online presence, Gloria Bugie continues to prove that she is destined for greatness. As 2025 unfolds, many in the industry are watching to see how far this rising star will go.
