Award-winning Ugandan music singer Eddy Kenzo is set to deliver an epic performance at the CHAN 2024 closing ceremony. This is scheduled for Saturday, August 30, at Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi, Kenya.

The African Nations Championship (CHAN), which began almost month ago, will come to a thrilling end with a final match between Morocco and Madagascar. However, before the footballers take the stage, it’s the music that will set the tone.
And despite Uganda already out of the tournament, Eddy Kenzo will hoist the flag high as he is one of the major headliners.
The Big Talent boss has become a household name across Africa as he’s known for his infectious energy, unique dance moves as well as inspirational music. Therefore his appearance at the tournament is no mistake. Additionally his invitation to perform at the CHAN 2024 closing ceremony is a testament to his growing influence in the region and beyond.

However, Eddy Kenzo won’t be the only performer at the ceremony. He will share the stage with Savara from Kenya — formerly of the celebrated group Sauti Sol — and Wasafi Records’ Zuchu, one of Tanzania’s leading Bongo Flava stars. Together, the three artists will represent their respective countries in what is being called a “musical celebration of East Africa.”
Kenzo’s appearance will ensure Uganda remains part of the tournament’s grand finale since it was a joint host. His presence brings national pride and excitement to Ugandans who have followed the competition from the start.
Meanwhile the event marks a historic edition of CHAN, co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, and seen as a significant step in promoting regional cooperation through sports and entertainment.
