  • The rapper faced criticism earlier for performing at a PLU event but says he has since learned his lesson.
  • He also reflected on his past concert challenges, thanking fellow artists like Sheebah and Spice Diana for their support.

Local rapper Shafik Walukaga alias Fik Fameica has reiterated his loyalty to Bobi Wine’s led National Unity Platform. Despite the continued pleas of musicians and some fans to keep politics out of music, it seems this time round, musicians have gone full throttle to express their political side.

With the NRM side already boasting of big names such as Bebe Cool, Eddy Kenzo, Dr. Jose Chameleone, Alien Skin among others, Fik has also now joined the Red side.

Speaking in an interview with Galaxy TV, the Kutama singer said that he’s People Power through and through adding that he cannot perform for any other political group in the upcoming campaigns.

“I belong to People Power and I cannot perform for any other political party even if I’m paid,” Fik Fameica confirmed.

The singer some months ago came under scrutiny from the People Power foot soldiers after he performed at an event organized by the CDF Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s PLU. It seems since then he learnt a bitter lesson that he doesn’t want to face ever again.

Meanwhile the self styled King Kong once again highlighted his previous concert which was marred by a number of mishaps. Fik who has songs with both Sheebah and Spice Diana didn’t get a chance to perform with them.

He however said that he’s glad they came through to support him. They had been included on the lineup of performances but time cut them short.
