Musician Fille Mutoni has finally spoken out about her whereabouts and what she has been up to over the past few years. The once-budding singer disappeared from the public eye but has been slowly making a return to the limelight.

In an interview on Sanyuka TV with Brian Macona, Fille explained that many people assume that being out of the public eye means struggling in life, simply because they cannot see her on social media. She dispelled this notion, saying, “Just because I’m not constantly online doesn’t mean my life is not moving forward. I’ve been focusing on other aspects of my life besides music.”
The No Money singer also addressed her past association with the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) under Eddy Kenzo. When asked whether she received money or was a member of the group, the singer revealed, “I don’t want to get too deep into UNMF politics. I was invited while I was undergoing rehabilitation. I never received a single penny from them, but some fellow artists and well-wishers supported me financially and emotionally, and that was enough.”
Reflecting on her time in rehab, Fille emphasized that the support she received from friends and fellow musicians was more meaningful than money. She added that there are indeed very good people in the music industry, which she witnessed firsthand during her recovery.

The singer also touched on her relationship with her baby daddy, MC Kats, who has described her as not very showbiz-oriented and needing persuasion to participate in music projects. Fille explained that while Kats is naturally drawn to showbiz, she is a more relaxed and laid-back person. She said she chooses projects based on what is convenient for her, rather than always following Kats’ lead.
Addressing her past struggles with drug addiction, Fille confirmed that she has been making significant progress. “I went through a very dark period, but I’m moving in the right direction and have been clean for some time,” she said.
Fille’s battle of drug abuse seems to have been successful and she has since started making occasional stage appearances, signaling a gradual comeback.
