- Flavia Namulindwa established the Gomba Business and Technical Institute in Kitwe Village to improve education access, insisting it was not for political advantage.
- She chose NUP over other parties due to shared values with President Bobi Wine, emphasizing that politics is temporary but her contributions to education are permanent.
- Recently awarded the NUP party card, she is now the official candidate for Gomba District Woman MP, balancing community service with her political ambitions.
Former Bukedde TV presenter Flavia Namulindwa has come out to clarify that her decision to build a school in Gomba District was driven by a genuine desire to serve the community, not for political gain.
It should be noted that she established the Gomba Business and Technical Institute in Kitwe Village, Kanoni Town Council, a project she insists was always about improving access to education.

“Those near me have always known that my goal was to serve the people of Gomba. Some say I built a school because I was coming to contest for political office, but that is not true. I stand by my word — if I say I am going to do something, I do it,” Namulindwa said.
She emphasized that politics is temporary, but the school will last forever, benefiting not only the residents of Gomba but also students from across the country.

On her political journey, Flavia explained why she chose National Unity Platform (NUP) over other parties:
“I started with People Power, and I had no reason to leave. NUP is where I belong. It is not about friendship — it is about shared values. President Bobi Wine believes in the same things I do: fixing hospitals, ensuring electricity, improving services. That is why I stand with NUP,” she said.
Flavia further noted that the party ticket is simply a symbol of alignment, not the end-all of political ambition:
“Even if you don’t get a ticket, it’s not the end of the world. There are many independents in parliament, even from the opposition. I could have come as an independent, but I chose NUP because it is my home,” she added.
Recently, she was officially given the NUP party card and is now the party’s endorsed candidate for Gomba District Woman MP, cementing her political journey. Initially she had been denied the party ticket but got it after a revised list.
“Politics may come and go, but the school will remain to serve generations to come,” Namulindwa concluded.
