  • The singer donated food and clothes to the needy in Kireka
  • She says her time in the limelight prepared her for ministry

Singer Grace Nakimera has opened up about her spiritual journey, revealing that serving God has always been her true calling, even during the peak of her secular music career.

The singer made the remarks while carrying out charity activities in Kireka, where she donated foodstuffs, clothes, and other essentials to the less privileged ahead of the festive season. The outreach attracted residents who welcomed the gesture and praised her for giving back to the community.

Speaking during the charity drive, Nakimera said her decision to serve in God’s ministry did not come as a surprise to her, noting that she had always felt a strong spiritual pull even when she was still active in secular music.

“Even when I was doing music that pleased the world, I always felt something spiritual inside me. Deep down, I knew God was preparing me for this path,” Nakimera said.

Once regarded as one of the best voices in secular music, Nakimera explained that her past experiences in the limelight were part of God’s preparation. She added that she now prefers a quieter life, allowing God to take center stage instead of herself.

“I have already experienced the spotlight. Now it is God who should shine, not me,” she noted.

Grace Nakimera stepped away from the music scene several years ago, a move that surprised many fans. She later re-emerged as a changed person and a born-again Christian, openly sharing her faith and dedication to ministry.

The singer has previously revealed that serious health complications she faced played a major role in her spiritual transformation. According to Nakimera, the challenges pushed her closer to God and strengthened her resolve to live a life fully committed to serving Him.
