• Eddy Kenzo has responded to Bebe Cool’s recent claim that he’s not a global artist, saying Bebe is “correct in his ignorance” and entitled to his own view.
  • In an interview with Sanyuka TV, the Grammy-nominated singer downplayed the comments, reminding fans of his accolades like the BET Award and Grammy nomination.

Despite having patched their beef which spanned a couple of years, it seems singers Bebe Cool and Eddy Kenzo will always have cracks in their friendship. This is after Eddy Kenzo has hit back at the remarks made by Bebe Cool that the former is not a global artist.

While on the Talk and Talk Show hosted by Kasuku, Bebe Cool said that Eddy Kenzo is not a global artist and challenged anyone to name more than one song (Sitya Loss) that is a global hit. Indeed no one could and many have since interpreted this as a diss by the Gagamel boss towards the Big Talent CEO.

However in an interview with Sanyuka TV, the Semyekozo singer was asked about his peer’s remarks and he said that it’s his opinion. According to Kenzo, Bebe can be right in his ignorance and it’s not his right to correct him. This is because everyone has an angle in which they view things.

“That’s his opinion and it’s not my right to correct him. He can be correct in his ignorance and I’m totally okay with it. But we all know the reality and what’s on ground,” said Kenzo.

The singer has set numerous records as well as bagging international awards such as the BET, Nickelodeon Awards as well as getting a Grammy nod, a feat that only he has achieved.

It should be noted that the two singers hadn’t been in talking terms for almost a decade. This was largely due to Kenzo’s then affiliation to Bebe Cool’s nemesis, Bobi Wine.

Additionally Kenzo’s prizing Rema from Gagamel, who Bebe Cool had been grooming to take over the music industry detoriated the already fragile situation.
