• Spice cancels her December 6 Uganda concert, citing failure by the promoter to meet contract terms.
  • The event had sparked major anticipation, with fans excited for her first performance in Kampala.
  • Her future plans regarding a visit to Uganda remain unclear.

Jamaican dancehall star Spice Official has officially cancelled her upcoming concert in Uganda, which had been scheduled for December 6 in Kampala. In her public notice on Facebook, she stated:

“ATTENTION!!! I will not be attending this event in Uganda 🇺🇬 on December 6th.
I was truly excited and looking forward to meeting my brothers and sisters there, but unfortunately the promoter did not fulfill the contractual agreements.”

The show had been marketed as her first-ever performance in Uganda and was expected to attract thousands of fans.

The event was promoted as a major year-end celebration, blending dancehall music with cultural showcases. Ugandan organizers had lined up several local performers, aiming to create a full entertainment experience for fans who had long awaited the “Queen of Dancehall.”

Spice was also expected to engage in cultural tourism activities during her stay, including visits to heritage and wildlife sites — part of a growing trend of linking major concerts with tourism promotion in Uganda.

News of Spice’s scheduled arrival had generated widespread excitement on social media and within Uganda’s entertainment community. Many fans described the show as one of the most anticipated dancehall events of the year.

Her visit would have added her name to a long list of Jamaican stars who have previously performed in Uganda, including Konshens, Shaggy, Sean Paul, Busy Signal, Dexta Daps, and others. The cancellation has therefore been met with disappointment among fans who were eager to experience her electrifying stage presence.

It is not yet clear whether the show will be rescheduled or if Spice plans to visit Uganda at a later date. Her statement only confirmed that she will not attend the December 6 event due to contractual issues.

For now, Ugandan fans remain hopeful that her debut on the Kampala stage will still happen someday.
