A UK-born internet celebrity and content creator has initiated a campaign to secure essential facilities for the Soft Ground Wrestling industry in Uganda. The Soft Ground Wrestling agency has recently gained significant popularity online, creating a trend.

It has garnered viewership not only from Uganda but also from around the globe. Consequently, many individuals from outside the country have come to enjoy the experience and participate in the events.

One such visitor is Joe Weller, a 29-year-old who is a well-known social media personality. During his recent participation in the events, he observed the absence of an ambulance and a designated area for emergency medical care, despite the high-risk nature of the physical activities involved.

In response, he has started a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for an ambulance and an emergency care unit to ensure prompt first aid in the event of emergencies. His fundraising goal is 225000 pounds, and he has already secured half of that amount.

Among the contributors is his friend KSI, a popular YouTuber, content creator, and boxer, who generously donated 10,000 pounds.

Weller mentioned that the most costly aspect is obtaining the ambulance license, but he believes that with the support of his millions of followers across various social media platforms, this will not be an obstacle.

It is important to note that Soft Ground Wrestling (SGW) is situated in Kirangira Village within Mukono District. It has received praise from many, including WWE stars.

Some fans have even drawn comparisons to WWE Raw and SmackDown, with some claiming that SGW surpasses both franchises.
