- Jowy Landa says she has no political affiliation and is open to performing for any party this campaign season.
- The singer confirmed she paid UGX 150k to join the UNMF SACCO and expects to benefit from President Museveni’s promised funds.
- She emphasised that her focus is on earning from music, not politics — “There can’t be money and I act cowardly.”
TNS singer, Joan Namugerwa commonly known as Jowy Landa has expressed her willingness to perform for any political party in the ongoing campaign season. While on Galaxy TV with DJ Nimrod, the singer was asked if she has made an appearance anywhere especially the President Museveni Album Launch that happened last week spearheaded by Eddy Kenzo.

The Mudumu singer said that she wasn’t invited although she’s a member of the Uganda National Musicians Federation. She revealed how she paid 150k and registered for the UNMF SACCO under the Luwero musicians group. Therefore she expects to get part of the billions of Shillings president Museveni promised musicians recently.
On whether she can sing for any political group, Jowy said that she cannot suffer when there’s money to spend. She said that if any camp calls her and asks her to perform for them, she would pocket the money without thinking.
“I’m a member of the UNMF SACCO because I paid 150k and registered. However I haven’t yet gotten a notice from Kenzo so if the money this time comes out, he should remember that I’m part of the group. In regards to performing for any candidate or party in this season, I’m open. There can’t be money to be earned and I act cowardly,” she said.
