Musician Edirisa Musuuza popularly known as Eddy Kenzo has given his opinion about the upcoming general elections. The Big Talent boss said that he’s really excited and anticipating for this season because it’s one of those where musicians earn some good money.

The Sitya Loss singer revealed that however, politics now is a dangerous game unlike back in the previous seasons where musicians could go on about doing their business of performing. Nowadays people mix a lot of emotions and end up hating on musicians because of their political differences.
Kenzo however said that he’s glad people have started to notice this trend of unnecessary political division and are boycotting it.
He further said that as a musician he goes where the money is and if he was paid by the opposition, he would entertain their revellers not because he supports them but because it pays.

“The Electoral season we are heading in is one that I particularly is interested in and highly looking forward to. This is because it’s one of those period where we earn some good money. However, there are of course also its disadvantages such as people hating you because you don’t align with their beliefs. But apparently they are starting to wake up and realize that this is just politics which shouldn’t be dividing us,” he partly said during an interview with BBS Terefayina.
Kenzo was also asked if he would be open to performing for the opposition yet he aligns with the ruling NRM. He stated that as long as he gets paid, he’s got no problem because as someone who rose from the ghetto, every penny matters.
The BET Award winner also said that he’s got a lot of friends who are darlings to him, especially fellow musicians who belong to the opposition. He however avoids associating with performing for the opposition because he would be called a snitch.
Kenzo blamed all this on politicians who he said that are smooth talkers who knows how to ride on people’s emotions and cause disunity in society. However, he said that musicians should be left to perform for whoever they want and not face discrimination because politics is just a game of varying opinions
