• The Luwero District Woman MP NRM primaries ended without a declared winner following a heated contest between Agnes Kirabo Nantongo and Cissy Mulondo.
  • Kirabo, baby mama of singer Mr. Lee from the B2C trio, received significant attention due to her high-profile campaign, but early reports suggest Mulondo may be leading.

The NRM primaries wrapped up yesterday, but some areas, like the woman MP race in Luwero District, still lack a clear winner. This contest featured a fierce rivalry between Agnes Kirabo Nantongo and Cissy Mulondo. According to local reports, Cissy Mulondo was likely on track to be announced as the victor.

However, tensions escalated at the Luwero rally center as the competing factions exchanged accusations of electoral misconduct. This situation necessitated police intervention, and thus no winner was declared.

It’s important to mention that Agnes Kirabo Nantongo is the baby mama to musician Mugisha Richard, known as Mr. Lee from the B2C trio. Mr. Lee was actively involved in campaigning for her, frequently traveling from Kampala to Luwero.

His hopes were that his wife’s performance would mirror that of Eddy Kenzo’s wife Phiona Nyamutooro, who achieved a significant victory in Nebbi District.

For the time being, the announcement of the winner remains pending, although initial reports suggest Cissy may be favored for the title. The Luwero Woman MP position is currently held by NUP’s Brenda Nabukenya.
