- Minister Phiona Nyamutoro questions the vision of younger presidential candidates, affirming her support for Museveni.
- She praises President Museveni’s clear goal of transforming Uganda into an economically independent nation.
- Nyamutoro, Youth MP and wife of singer Eddy Kenzo, is now set to contest for Nebbi District Woman MP and is a prominent face in Museveni’s campaign.
Responding to an interviewer who noted that some critics believe President Museveni has aged and should hand over power to younger leaders, Nyamutoro questioned which of those younger candidates has a clearer or better vision than the incumbent President.

According to the Minister, none of the current presidential hopefuls has been able to convince her or others with a vision that matches Museveni’s. She said the President’s long-term goal of transforming Uganda into an economically independent nation remains unmatched and continues to yield visible progress.
“Which of the other presidential candidates you call young have a vision better than President Museveni’s? I don’t see any, and none of them can convince me to rally behind them,” Nyamutoro said. “President Museveni’s vision has been clear — to transform Uganda into an economically independent nation — and there has been gradual transformation. It’s upon us who have seen these gains to convince others to join us.”
The youthful minister, who is also the wife of singer Eddy Kenzo, is among the vibrant young leaders who have risen under the 2021–2026 Museveni administration. Currently serving as the Youth MP, Nyamutoro recently won the NRM primaries and is set to contest for the Nebbi District Woman MP seat in the 2026 elections.
