The Miss Uganda beauty pageant has denied inviting one of the contestants, a popular TikToker known as Errands Runner real names Nalubega Aminah to boost the competition. Aminah who has over 300k followers on the video sharing platform indeed created the buzz in the event.

She ended up winning the Miss Popularity Contest and also the Rising Woman accolades. Speaking about the allegations that she was enlisted to boost the pageant’s mileage, one of the judges denied this.
She said that Aminah joined like any other contestant and they even had no idea who she was until she introduced herself. Additionally, the judge said that they do not have the time to do background digging on the contestants not until they reach the latter stages.
“Those saying that we invited her to boost the competition have their own opinions which we have no control over. However what I can say is that she applied like other contestants. I personally didn’t even know who she was until she introduced herself. We don’t do background checks on contestants unless they have reached the final stages.”

Additionally she said that the TikToker was very good at rallying people to support as they did in huge numbers which helped her to win the Miss Popularity crown. Meanwhile Nalubega Aminah was grateful to all those who voted for her
She undoubtedly gave the pageant the much needed ‘talkability’ as many people are talking about the grand finale.
Some of her followers even felt that she needed to be crowned Miss Uganda but she said that she has no hard feelings towards the results adding that the competition was free and fair.
