• Chagga disclosed that Mowzey Radio had become emotionally withdrawn, abandoning social media after facing relentless online criticism.
  • He even carried a baseball bat, reportedly intending to confront media personality Eddie Sendi.

Singer-turned-music manager Chagga has shared details into the death of the late artist Mowzey Radio from the well-known duo, Radio and Weasel, noting that depression played a significant role. The Neera hitmaker unfortunately passed away in 2018 following a bar altercation that left him in a coma for several days before he ultimately succumbed.

Since his passing, various narratives have surfaced regarding the circumstances of his death. One previously unknown detail highlighted by Chagga is the issue of depression.

Chagga, who was managing the duo at the time, mentioned that the singer had even distanced himself from social media because he believed people despised him. Each time he accessed a social media platform, he was met with attacks and insults.

One specific incident he referenced involved Eddie Sendi, co-host of the Talk and Talk show. It was reported that Radio had vowed to confront Sendi physically and always carried a baseball bat in his vehicle.

“Radio was struggling with depression by the time he passed. He had ceased being active on social media and opted for a basic phone. Whenever he logged onto social media, there were videos of people criticizing him. I recall that at one point he purchased a baseball bat, which he kept in his car with the intention of confronting Eddie Sendi, as he was among his harshest critics,” Chagga remarked.

The Yoono artist further noted that all the individuals and musicians who now claim to have been Radio’s friends were absent during his time of depression. They likely make such claims to gain sympathy and attention from fans.
