- Nzeire Sedrack Kaguta, a brother to Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, has openly declared that he’s jobless and is seeking the position of NRM Vice Chairperson for Western Uganda to secure employment.
- Nzeire also stated that he is determined to restore the party’s founding principles and eliminate negative influences he believes are creeping back into the movement.
Nzeire Sedrack Kaguta a brother to President Museveni has announced his candidacy for the position of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) vice chairperson for western region. Speaking at the nomination event, Nzeire shocked many when he revealed why he’s running for the position- and it’s because he’s jobless.

Nzeire who previously served as the district chairman of NRM in Kiruhura district emphasized his contributions to the party such as popularizing it in the region.
Therefore, he feels that he needs a promotion to a regional role highlighting his long term commitment to the party. He stated how he’s the most qualified candidate that has a CV which speaks for him.
According to Nzeire, he doesn’t know any other job as he’s been working with the NRM since he graduated.

Additionally, he said that he wants to restore the NRM’s principles and kick out the bad vices being brought back by some people in the party.
“I am currently jobless, and I am therefore standing to get a job. I hope you will vote me because I’m a servant for all irrespective of any difference. So please give me this job,” he boldy revealed.
This has left opinions divided amongst netizens with many wondering of he really needs the job.
He will however face competition from some party big wigs such as MPs Chris Baryomunsi who is also the Minister for ICT and National Guidance as well as Igara East MP Michael Mawanda among others.
