Events promoter Nobat Events has again taken a swipe at singer and UNMF president Eddy Kenzo, calling him a coward and reminding him that he is not among the “princes” of the NRM. Nobat made the remarks shortly before being remanded to Luzira Prison, where he will remain until Thursday, 18th December, when he returns to court to apply for bail.

Nobat was arrested last this week after singers Eddy Kenzo , Dr. Jose Chameleone and Lady Mariam Tindatine filed omplaints of misinformation and defamation case against him. The promoter in one of his rants linked the Sitya Loss star to the death of fellow producer Danz Kumapeesa, a claim Kenzo strongly denies.

According to court records, Nobat is now facing over 12 charges of defamation and misinformation, 8 from Eddy Kenzo 3 from Dr. Jose Chameleone and 1 from Lady Mariam Tindatine.

While defending himself, Nobat argued that Chameleone misquoted him, insisting he did not defame the Leone Island boss as claimed. The judge gave him a soft landing apparently when he said that it is the prosecution’s duty to present the evidence against him, and he will respond accordingly once the trial progresses.

In a heated rant delivered while wearing a shirt decorated with images of NRM presidential candidate Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, Nobat attacked Kenzo’s reminding him that he should tame his ego he developed after Joining the NRM.

“Tell Kenzo that he’s a coward… a very fearful man. He should know that we were in NRM before him and he’s just a newcomer… he will also come and go just like the rest have… he’s not a prince in the NRM… the party has its princes and chosen ones and he should know that he’s not part of them.”

When asked whether he should remain humble as he waits for forgiveness from the Big Talent boss, Nobat insisted he had nothing to apologise for, saying Kenzo was simply acting untouchable yet he’s also a nobody in the party.
