- Suuna approached Bobi Wine for a handshake at Serena, but the NUP leader did not respond.
- The singer says he knows little about Bobi Wine personally and leaves fans to interpret the situation.
- Many believe the snub stems from Suuna’s past interactions with Gen. Salim Saleh and the First Family.
Singer Omulangira Suuna more known as OS Suuna has shared his thoughts on the recent incident in which he was publicly snubbed by NUP president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, popularly known as Bobi Wine, during Mikie Wine’s concert last weekend at Serena Hotel.

Suuna, who was among the night’s performers, approached Bobi Wine’s table—where King Saha and Banjo Man were seated—and stretched out his hand for a greeting. However, the Firebase boss did not return the handshake.
The moment quickly became a hot topic on social media, with many praising Bobi Wine for “calling a spade a spade” and refusing to show friendliness toward artistes believed to associate with his political opponents in the NRM.
Speaking to Spark TV, Suuna said he does not know much about Bobi Wine’s personal life. Therefore, if the singer’s supporters believe the snub was intentional, then that could be true.

“I don’t know much about Bobi Wine besides his music. So if his supporters who know him better believe that he purposefully ignored me, then it might be true. I simply know his music and nothing beyond that,” Ssuuna said.
It should be recalled that a few months ago, the RnB star faced public embarrassment when he visited Gen. Salim Saleh to present his song under the OWC project. Although the General gave him 10 million shillings, the encounter sparked widespread debate.
Because of Suuna’s previous engagement with the General and members of the First Family, many believe Bobi Wine’s reaction at Serena was influenced by those associations—especially given the political tensions between NUP and the ruling establishment.
