Worship House pastor and gospel star Wilson Bugembe has once again left his congregation in stitches — this time with a lighthearted confession about never having seen God or Jesus, despite serving Him faithfully for years.

During a recent sermon, the ever-jovial pastor playfully admired those who often claim divine visitations, saying some pastors are truly “on another level” with heaven.
“I enjoy those pastors who say that God and Jesus visited them,” Bugembe said amid laughter. “You and God are on a whole other level! For us, we don’t even know what we did to Him!”
With a smile, he pointed out how he has poured his heart into ministry — building a big church, organizing worship nights, and touching countless lives — yet has never been treated to a personal heavenly appearance.

“Do you see all this that I have done in Uganda? Worship nights, this church, everything! But I have never seen Him — not even in a white suit!” he joked, sending the congregation roaring with laughter.
Bugembe said sometimes he gets “holy jealousy” when he hears fellow servants of God narrate their encounters.
“Some people are lucky! They say, ‘five times I have seen Jesus in my room and He told me, my son, go and do this.’ Then I ask myself, eh, what did I do to miss that appointment?” he teased.
Still, the pastor quickly turned reflective, saying even though he hasn’t seen God physically, he has deeply felt Him in his life.
“Whenever I ask Him to reveal Himself, I remember that scripture — ‘Blessed are those who believe without seeing.’ I have never seen Him in a white shirt, but I have surely felt what He’s done,” Bugembe said.
His humorous take reminded believers that faith isn’t always about visions and voices — sometimes, it’s about laughter, love, and trusting that God is working even when unseen.
