- Pastor Aloysius Bujjingo has openly criticized Kampala pastors for boycotting Wilson Bugembe’s 20-year music milestone concert at Serena Hotel.
- Despite Bugembe’s history of performing for many of these pastors without charge, none attended the two-day event.
House of Prayer International Ministries CEO Pastor Aloysius Bujjingo has criticized fellow pastors for their absence at singer-turned-pastor Wilson Bugembe’s event at Kampala Serena Hotel. Bujjingo expressed disappointment that traditional herbalist Mama Fina was the only notable figure present as a guardian at Bugembe’s concert, which marked his 20-year milestone in the music industry.

The outspoken Pastor noted his relief at having distanced himself from the group of pastors in Kampala, describing many of them as opportunists. He emphasized how Bugembe has performed at various churches and crusades for most of these pastors, yet none came to support him.
Bujjingo remarked that he learned not to pass judgment after seeing that the secular audience outnumbered the born-again attendees at the concert.
“I realized from this event that many of these pastors are opportunistic, and I’m grateful I distanced myself from their circle before they could take advantage of me. It’s astonishing that a man who has contributed so much was overlooked—only Maama Fiina made the effort to attend and represent him. Bugembe has performed for them at no charge, yet they couldn’t be bothered to show up. This concert has also taught me a lesson about judging people, as it was the secular crowd that came out in greater numbers than the so-called believers,” he stated.
