This year has seen the Kampala Serena Hotel, one of Uganda’s few luxurious five star hotels host a couple of concerts that have turned out to be memorable for not only revellers but also the artists. Unlike back then when staging a concert in such a location was near impossible for some musicians, the venue has become a dance ground for entertainers in the past few years. Highlights: A heartfelt celebration of Pastor Bugembe’s two-decade journey in gospel music, featuring powerful performances and a gathering of fans and followers. This concert happened for two days at the same venue, in two different days, Friday and Saturday. However, many fans were still locked out and couldn’t access the venue as it was fully packed to capacity.
Kampala Serena Hotel has of recent become one of the most booked venues for artists in the country. It no longer sends fright into musicians about flopping and more concerts are expected there before the year ends with Mikie Wine also announcing one in the coming weeks.
