- Despite past issues, Salvado recognized Muhangi’s brotherly support during his wedding and his father’s funeral.
Comedian Patrick Salvado has shared details into his friendship with fellow comedian Alex Muhangi and the reasons behind their fallout. It is important to highlight that both comedians began their careers around the same time and were experiencing growth.

However, Muhangi eventually shifted his focus towards becoming a businessperson in the comedy industry, while Salvado continued as a performer. At one point, their relationship soured, causing public speculation.
On Kasuku’s podcast, Salvado explained the events that led to their rift, which was initially fueled by social media bloggers. After returning from the USA, Muhangi arranged a comedy event that ultimately evolved into Comedy Store.
In an effort to support his friend’s event, Salvado began promoting it on Facebook as well. Unfortunately, rumors began to spread suggesting that he had taken over Muhangi’s show, and before long, Alex had liked the posts on Facebook.

Despite his attempts to ask Muhangi to clarify the situation, he found himself blocked on WhatsApp, phone calls, and Facebook. Salvado also chose to ignore Muhangi until they ran into each other at a Fenon Records event years later, where they finally resolved their issues.
The issue that caused my split with Muhangi originated from his concert, which he set up right after we returned from the US. I wanted to support him on Facebook, but it ended up leading to animosity. Various blogs started to claim that I had stolen his show, and he liked these stories on Facebook. When I attempted to reach out to him via WhatsApp and phone, I found myself blocked. A lengthy WhatsApp message went without a response, leading me to believe that was the end. We only spoke after crossing paths at a Fenon Records event years later, where we had a face-to-face conversation. I began performing at Comedy Store afterward, but our relationship was never the same.
Nevertheless, the man from Ombokolo also mentioned occasions where he recognized that the Comedy Store owner is indeed a true friend and brother. When Salvado shared his wedding plans during the COVID pandemic, Alex sent him 1 million Shillings, attended all the meetings, and contributed an additional million.
Even during the time of his father’s passing, Muhangi was with him from the moment he shared the news until the funeral. He even provided food for attendees at the service.
Salvado noted that surprisingly, there are people who expect him to support them when they didn’t even bother to send a message of condolence.
