Shamim Malende’s ex, Ssebunya Andrew: “I made you, but you betrayed me”

• Ssebunya Andrew claims he built Shamim Malende’s social media presence and supported her career before their split.

Ssebunya Andrew the boyfriend and long time friend of Kampala woman MP, Hon Shamim Malende has come out to give his side of the story regarding the MP’s revelations this week about their breakup. While addressing the media, Malende said that the two are no longer together adding that he even confiscated her social media platforms.

But during an interview, Ssebunya detailed the genesis of their breakup. Without revealing much, he seemed to hint at Malende being the cause of their breakup. According to Ssebunya, Malende knew that their relationship was long gone by the time she made these remarks publicly.

It therefore took him by surprise wig her allegations of branding him a thief. Ssebunya said that he had the ability to steal almost all the assets they accumulated while together but he was in love with her and not after her properties.

“Shamim knows that the relationship was nolonger present by the time she tarnished my name. I was even taken aback by her claim because I had all the access to steal a lot of things from her such as cars but I opted to have everything put in her names because I wanted her to see that it was love binding us, not her wealth,” he partly said.

Additionally, he said that if she continues to press him against the wall, he will be left with no choice but to release the proof including text messages that led to their break-up. Furthermore, Ssebunya said that he had chosen to keep her dirty linen to himself because he wanted to save face for her since she’s a public figure.

Besides, he found her with nothing especially on social media which she claims that he stole. It was his efforts that helped to establish her online and even some people thought that he was chauffeur simply because he decided to take the backseat and let her shine.

He concluded by saying that she’s making these accusations to draw public sympathy especially owing to the fact that she’s in a tough political space right now in NUP.
