- A woman named Nanyonga Mariam has come forward with serious allegations against singer Sizza Man, claiming he impregnated her at just 15 years old during a Firebase Crew tour in 2005 and then abandoned her.
- Despite efforts to connect the child with Sizza Man’s family, she was met with rejection. The now-teenage son has asked for only one thing—recognition from the man he believes is his father.
A woman named Nanyonga Mariam has accused the veteran singer Sizza Man of getting her pregnant and then abandoning her with the responsibility of raising their child. In a special interview with Sanyuka TV, Nanyonga stated that she met the singer at the age of 15 in 2005.

This encounter occurred after Sizza Man had come to perform in Palisa with Bobi Wine’s Firebase. The two connected, and when he left, Sizza provided her with his phone number and that of fellow Firebase member, Mr. Parrot.
As time passed, Nanyonga realized she was expecting a child. She contacted Sizza Man to inform him, and he advised her to have the baby, explaining that abortions were not accepted in his family.
However, he never offered her any support, and her education was interrupted since she was in senior two at the time. When her situation became challenging, she reached out to Master Parrot, who guided her to the Firebase studios in Kamwokya.

She took a bus to Kampala, and upon her arrival, Jjajja Nana welcomed her. Eventually, Bobi Wine and other Firebase members showed up, and she shared her story with them.
Nanyonga mentioned that they were thrilled, and both Bobi and Buchaman named her son Buju Banton. She recounted that she spent the night at Bobi’s home in Ntinda during a time when Barbie was about to give birth to Solomon. The following day, she received Shs 70k to buy supplies for the child, which she did before returning to her village.
She never heard from Sizza Man again, but after moving to Kampala to find work, her child continued to cry and trouble her. When she reached out to the Angela singer, he instructed her to bring the child to his parents’ home in Mukono. At that moment, Nanyonga was residing in Nabweru and took her friend Lil Pazo along.
However, upon arriving at Sizza Man’s house, she was met with hostility from the singer’s father, who ordered her to leave. He handed her Shs 3k after some insistence and told Nanyonga she had no right to bring the child to him, insisting that Sizza Man should bring the child himself.
Nanyonga claimed that she then received news that her father was seriously ill back in Palisa, prompting her to return to care for him. Unfortunately, he passed away, and when she tried to contact Sizza Man, he was unsupportive and eventually turned off his phones.
After returning to Kampala, she made the decision to disregard the singer’s existence. Later on, she learned that her mother in Rwanda was unwell, which required her to go and take care of her as well.
By this time, her son was 7 years old, and she couldn’t take him along for the journey. Despite her efforts to leave her child with Sizza’s family, she ultimately departed for Rwanda but soon received a call from her sister informing her that the boy had escaped after taking money.
She swiftly returned to Uganda and questioned her son, who denied the accusations. He explained that he had only taken Shs 20k from his grandmother’s purse for transportation to leave the home, claiming he was tired of being insulted and shamed by his grandfather.
Once again, Sizza Man’s father warned Nanyonga never to bring the boy back unless Sizza Man himself was accompanying him.
The woman also mentioned that the only financial support she received from the artist was 80k while their son was still a child, which was intended for Christmas shopping.
The son expressed in the interview that his only desire is for Sizza Man to acknowledge him as his child and introduce him to his paternal relatives. Conversely, Nanyonga claims that she seeks nothing from the singer except for him to officially recognize his son as his.
