- The Ugandan Presidency has extended an official invitation to US media influencers TravQue and Peter Brooks to explore opportunities in Uganda’s growing creative industry.
- The duo, known for their digital media influence and entertainment projects, will hold high-level meetings with stakeholders in film, media, and cultural development during late August 2025.
The Office of the President of Uganda has formally sent out an invitation to American media personalities and social media influencers Peter Brooks and Travis Eric Anthony Thompson, popularly known as TravQue. The purpose of this invitation is for them to visit Uganda and explore opportunities in the country’s growing media and film industry.

A letter seen by this website issued by the Ambassador Abbey Walusimbi, Senior Presidential Advisor on Diaspora Affairs, on behalf of President Yoweri Museveni extended the invitation to the two creatives for a series of high-level meetings with stakeholders in Uganda’s entertainment and media sector.
This letter further stated that Uganda is “highly intrigued by the proposal” the duo submitted and believes that their expertise could bring significant benefits to the country.
The discussions apparently are scheduled to take place during the week of August 25, 2025. This will therefore give both parties ample time to explore collaboration opportunities.

It should be noted that TravQue is a well-known entertainer and content creator with a large social media following. TravQue shared the news via his Instagram, stories and Threads expressing excitement about the upcoming trip.
Meanwhile, TravQue’s colleague Peter Brooks, also known as @pb145, a creative producer and media strategist who has worked on various international projects also expressed enthusiasm. The duo together has built strong reputations in the digital media, comedy skits, and entertainment marketing.
Therefore, by inviting the pair, Uganda is pointing its interest in positioning itself as a hub for media, film, and creative content on the African continent.
The government will be hoping to leverage such collaborations to promote Uganda’s creative industry, attract investment, and alsp enhance the country’s global image.
Ambassador Walusimbi also emphasized in the letter that Uganda values the potential impact of this partnership. He noted it as “a critical engagement” for the country’s cultural and media development.
This visit could open new doors for cross border projects, film production, and digital content partnerships that put Uganda on the global stage.
