In Uganda’s fast-evolving digital space, only a handful of individuals and organizations have managed to grow their presence on X (formerly Twitter) to over one million followers. As of now, just 13 verified accounts have hit or crossed the one million club. From politicians to entertainers and media houses, the 13 named below have managed to show both their influence and active engagement online.

Topping the list is none other than the number one citizen, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni (@KagutaMuseveni) who has a massive 3.6 million followers, making him the most followed Ugandan on the platform. Being the President of the country for so long and also an influential figure on the continent, his numbers are self explanatory.
Museveni is closely followed by opposition leader and musician Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine (@HEBobiwine), who commands 2.6 million followers.
Before joining politics, Bobi Wine’s numbers were as low as in the 100k threshold but as of now, he’s number two- just as the political radar in the previous election. Being a popular musician and politician, he’s a youth favorite who dominate the social media spaces.
